This 1953 home in Minnetonka, MN had issues with cracking in the basement concrete slab. The homeowner noticed the problem upon purchasing the home, and eventually the basement flooded after heavy rains and spring time thawing. Tired of constantly mopping up the water in the basement, the homeowner contacted DBS for a permanent solution.
DBS Design Specialist James Miller visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the waterproofing system. DBS Foreman Zach Jorenby and his production team installed our WaterGuard® System along the perimeter of the basement.
The system directs all moisture to a new DoubleSafe™ premier sump pump. The crew connected this system to a new discharge line, directing water further away from the home's foundation. The home also had CarbonArmor® Wall Defense Straps installed to correct a bit of leaning happening with one of the foundation walls.
The homeowners were happy with the work done and can now continue with plans to finish their basement.
