In our recent project, our customer aimed to prevent further damage and hefty replacements by addressing various issues. The task at hand included lifting a block wall under the sidewalk using two piers, polyurethane restoration of the sidewalk to its original height, ensuring proper water drainage away from the house, and landscaping with the addition of fill dirt to redirect slope downhill towards the lake. The meticulous process also involved lifting the apron, nexus repairs along the house, and installing four new deck piers. Despite the need for excavation during pier installation, the process was expected to be straightforward.
Our crew was able to handle the tasks at hand and our customer was happy with the results!
A cabin owner from Hackensack, MN reached out to DBS after they noticed their cabin's kitchen floor was sagging and the block piers were cracking. They had also noticed that their cabin was leaning downhill.
Our Design Specialist, Mike Horvath, provided the cabin owner with a free no-obligation estimate for our Foundation Service. Upon further inspection, Mike recommended the front of the cabin be stabilized using our helical piers which would also help lift the kitchen floors. One of our crews installed our piers along the back wall and entry door around the corner of the wood wall. Now the cabin owner can relax with peace of mind!
DBS received a call looking to repair a crawl space area in a home that had a problem with drainage and water. The crawl space needed to be waterproofed, and identified for the different areas that have leaking. DBS came up with a solution to add a moisture barrier using our CleanSpace® service, used specifically for crawl space projects. This will keep the area dry and make sure the area is dry. DBS will clean out the debris in the crawl space and apply our waterproofing product barrier to maintain the crawl space for an overall healthy home. This project is ongoing with DBS, but we've included some before photos of the crawl space that needs waterproofing to identify what a crawl space that needs waterproofing maintenance looks like.
