There was also a cabinet above the basement stairs that required new insulation due to old fiberglass that was originally there, which was causing chill drafts both in the entryway and around the house.

When our crew arrived at the property, they spray-foamed the rim joists in the basement and the floors and entryway were instantly warmer!

Next, they applied 5-inches  of closed-cell spray foam to air seal and insulate the attic deck and once cured.

Additionally, our team wrapped the chiminey in rock wool to better seal the entire attic.

Assessing both the home's basement and attic spaces, they were able to target vulnerable spots where little or no radiant barrier was present. A DBS Foreman and crew removed existing insulation in the attic and replaced it with a combination of spray foam and our ultra-dense Tru-Soft™ cellulose insulation. The also used ridig foam SilverGlo™ insulation to create a new scuttle cover for the attic access, allowing now warm air from the rest of the house to escape via the attic.
